These are photographs of the Aquatic Plants Restoration zone these reeds, eelgrass, etc.
They are in front of the Hotel Fuyosou. We transplanted approximately 9 years ago.
All Aquatic plants of Lake Nojiri were completely gone by 1981.

On Lake Nojiri, such an Aquatic Plants Restoration zone isn't seen elsewhere.
We will extend the Aquatic Plants Restoration zone in the future.
Thus, we hope to maintain the water quality and the natural views of Lake Nojiri,
and to pass on to future generations a Lake Nojiri which is rich in aquatic plant life.

芙蓉荘前のヨシ等を中心とした水草復元実験施設の写真です。
1996年6月に８m²、編目10cm の草魚防護柵にホシツリモをヨシ、ガマ、セキショウモ等の水草と移植しました。
野尻湖から水草が無くなった経過及び水草復元の詳しい内容は 野尻湖水草復元研究会 のページをご覧下さい。
現在の野尻湖ではこの様な水草帯は他では見られません。今後我々は水草帯を広げようとしています。
そして、その事は野尻湖の水質と自然景観を維持し次の世代に水草の豊富な野尻湖を引き継ぐ事です。
2005年４月１７日（日）野尻湖付近の農業用水池からマコモを採取して、２株植栽しました。
平成１８年11月11日（土）野尻湖水草復元研究会は次の業績により環境省長野自然環境事務所長より 表彰されました。

写真<4>は 1994 年 4月 22日、芙蓉荘前の実験施設 1 に試験的に、ヨシを移植しました。
1996 年 6 月、 実験施設 1 にホシツリモをヨシ、ガマ、セキショウモ等の水草と移植しました。
ホシツルモは、水温が 20 ℃以上に成ると成長しましたが、冬期に渇水するため越冬出来ませんでした。
１０年経過した時点でヨシが岸の水深の浅いエリアに移動し、 実験施設 1 にはヒルムシロ、ガマ、が自然分布しました。
